Recap: Montana vs. Sacramento St

Missoula, MT (SportsNetwork.com) - Jordan Gregory tallied a game-high 20 points, leading four players in double figures, as the Montana Grizzlies delivered an 82-70 win over the Sacramento State Hornets in Big Sky Conference play at Dahlberg Arena.

Keron DeShields dropped in 17 points for the Grizzlies (6-5, 1-1 Big Sky), followed by Kareem Jamar and Chris Kemp with 14 and 10 points, respectively, as the squad won for the fifth time in the last six outings.

The Hornets (4-7, 0-2) were paced by Zach Mills with 14 points, Mikh McKinney 11 and Jordan Salley 10 points and six rebounds in 19 minutes off the bench in the team's second straight setback.

Both teams shot better than 51 percent from the floor in the first half, but Sacramento missed all six chances behind the 3-point line and was outscored 7-1 at the free-throw line, sending the visitors to a 37-27 deficit at the break.

In the second half Montana pulled away on the strength of 65.2 percent accuracy from the field.

The Grizzlies converted an impressive 58.0 percent from the floor and 19-of-23 (.826) at the charity stripe on the night.
