Sweethearts contest off to flying start

Los Banos High FFA ReporterJanuary 14, 2014

Valentine’s Day is approaching very quickly and what better way to show your special someone how much you care than by buying him or her a FFA sweetheart balloon.

The sweetheart balloon fundraiser is the biggest and most profitable fundraiser for the Los Banos FFA Chapter.

The success of this fundraiser allows the chapter to offer many programs and activities for its members.

This year’s FFA candidates are freshman Taylor Torongo, sophomore Payton Brazil, junior Neyomi Ciseneros, and senior Savannah Del Franco. The four candidates are in competition to see who can raise the most money in balloon sales. Each Mylar heart-shaped balloon is $4 and will be delivered Feb. 10-12.

The candidates will be selling balloons throughout the community until Feb. 7. Look for fliers at local businesses or call Los Banos High School at (209) 826-6033 and ask for the Ag Department.

Congratulations to all sweetheart candidates.
