Bridal Fair next month

Dreams Bridal Fair is being held at noon Feb. 23 at the Merced Golf and Country Club. It’s a chance to meet with local reception experts and plan your special day. Tickets are $5 per couple. There will be more than $1,000 in door prizes, and refreshments and a no-host bar will be available. Proceeds benefit the United Way Root Social Program. Bible study group meets

Coffee Break, an interdenominational women’s Bible study group, will meet from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday mornings at Yosemite Church, 2230 E. Yosemite Ave. Free child care is available, and all women are welcome. For more information, call (209) 383-5038.

MLK Day march planned

The 18th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration March will start at 11 a.m. Monday. The day will continue with Unity celebration at the Merced County Fairgrounds with a variety of entertainment. The march will being at the Amtrak Train Station at 324 W. 24th St. and continue along Martin Luther King Jr. Way to the fairgrounds at 900 MLK Jr. Way. Anyone interested in joining the march is encouraged to be at the intersection of MLK and 24th Street before 11 a.m. The Celebration Service begins at noon with songs, choirs and other presentations. Red Cross needs you

The Red Cross will be distributing information from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday in the McNamara Park neighborhood, and is looking for volunteers to help out for this project. For more information, call Cayce at (559) 455-1000.

Dance classes open

World Dance classes are on the first and third Thursdays of the month from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Merced Multicultural Arts Center, 645 W. Main St., third floor. No partner needed. Please park in the Parkade and come up the back way. For more information, call (209) 756-6039.

Game feed for men

A game feed for men will be held at 6:45 p.m. Jan. 28 at Yosemite Church, 2230 E. Yosemite Ave, Merced. This event is part of JesusSavesMen Ministries. Buy one ticket at $20 and two men can eat, enjoy fellowship and hear a great story. Dinner will include wild boar, chili, fish, salad, tortillas and dessert. Doors open at 6:45 p.m., dinner at 7:15, and worship and guest speaker at 8 p.m. For more information or tickets, call Polly at (209) 383-5038, ext. 19.

Cemetery district to meet

The Merced Cemetery District will hold a board meeting at 4 p.m. today at the district office, 1300 B St., Merced. For more information, call (209) 383-4111.
