Our kids are getting cheated.
I read your article “El Capitan High goes high-tech” (Jan. 16, Page A1) about El Capitan High School, which sounded great for the faculty and kids. However, the kids at Golden Valley and Merced high schools, who are just as deserving, have every right to that same technology.
We are parents who pay taxes to support our schools and feel the Merced Union High School District has really done an injustice to our kids by flaunting this technology for some and denying it to others. We want our students/children to be as successful as the next.
Is there a single defensible reason why our kids are being denied access to this technology? After all, isn’t educating and preparing our kids for the future the goal?
