Recap: East Carolina vs. Tulane

Greenville, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - Jay Hook netted 17 points, leading the Tulane Green Wave over the East Carolina Pirates, 59-54, in Conference USA action at Minges Coliseum.

Hook shot 6-of-11 from the field for the Green Wave (11-9, 3-2 C-USA), who have won in back-to-back games. Jonathan Stark contributed 13 points in the win.

Caleb White and Akeem Richmond both tallied 14 points for the Pirates (11-8, 0-4), who have dropped four straight. Paris Campbell added 10 points.

The Green Wave shot 47.8 percent in the first half of play, a better mark than the Pirates' 35.7 percent. ECU helped itself at the line, however, with 9- of-10 accuracy and claimed a 32-28 lead at halftime.

The Pirates struggled in the second half, shooting 36.4 percent and making just eight field goals, including just 1-of-8 from beyond the arc. The Green Wave shot slightly better at 38.5 percent, including 4-of-9 from the perimeter, to erase the first-half deficit.

Tulane outscored its opponent 19-12 in points off turnovers and 8-0 on fast- break points during a game in which neither side led by more than seven points in the latter half.
