Arizona's Ashley suffers injury

Berkeley, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Arizona forward Brandon Ashley rolled his ankle early in the first half of Saturday's game against California and was not expected to return to the contest.

Ashley missed a shot in the lane and went up for the rebound, but his right foot was hurt on the play only 2:08 into the game. Ashley limped off the court to the locker room and he came back to the bench for the second half in a walking boot.

The loss of Ashley could be huge for the top-ranked Wildcats, who came into the game at 21-0 and one of three unbeaten teams in Division I. The 6-foot-8 sophomore came into the game shooting 52.8 percent and was averaging 12 points and six rebounds.

Coming into Saturday, Ashley had played at least 30 minutes 11 times on the year after not playing more than 29 in a game last season.
