Bus Stop Boxer

at the Partisan

Merced-based rock band Bus Stop Boxer is lined up to take the stage at 9 p.m. Saturday at The Partisan. Also scheduled are Feeling Gravity’s Pull and SixHandsMouth. Whiskey Tones at Star Club

Billy Dean with Cottonwood Creek

False Puppet at the Merced Theatre

Dance Kaleidoscope returns

Dancers from some of the area’s best-known dance studios will perform at 2  and 7 p.m. Feb. 22 in the Merced College Theater. Dance Kaleidoscope returns for another year of entertainment, featuring young dancers from Denisa’s School of Dance, Mariposa Academy of Performing Arts, Merced Academy of Dance, STEPS Dance Studio, Dancer’s Studio, Merced Belly Dance Company and South Pacific Dance Company. Tickets are $10 general, $8 for ASMC student body cardholders, children under 12, and seniors. Tickets can be purchased at Peraino’s at Bear Creek Galleria, Passadori’s in Atwater, Gottschalk Music, Merced College Bookstore and Merced College Theater Box Office one hour before the show. Ladysmith Black Mambazo at the Merced Theatre

South Africa’s Ladysmith Black Mambazo is scheduled to perform at the Merced Theatre from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. March 6. The group is one of the most famous a cappella vocal groups of all time, and has been performing for more than 50 years with its strong, proud melodies and graceful dance moves. The group has received 14 Grammy Award nominations and three Grammy Awards, according to its biography. Tickets are $15-$35. The Merced Theatre is at 301 W. Main St.

Valentine’s Day Masquerave

A night of DJs and dancing is scheduled at 9 p.m. next Friday at the “Valentines Day Masquerave” at The Partisan. Glowsticks and masks will be sold at the door. All proceeds go to benefit Merced Full Spectrum, a nonprofit aimed at enriching the lives of LGBTQ people in Merced. For more information, visit the event’s Facebook page. The Partisan is at 432 W.
