Old-fashioned customer service is still alive and well. I teach a writing class for senior citizens. A year or more ago, our class chipped in and purchased an audio system from Ingrams Music in Merced. They were very helpful then. Last week, I took a speaker system of my own into them to see if they could use it in conjunction with the one we had purchased so we could have sound at both ends of the classroom. They spent a great deal of time trying to align the two systems. Their patience and friendliness is commendable. They did not charge me for their time. Carlos even helped carry the gear back to my car, which was parked around the corner.
