Recap: St Johns vs. Georgetown

New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - D'Angelo Harrison and Rysheed Jordan each scored 24 points as the St. John's Red Storm routed the Georgetown Hoyas, 82-60, in a Big East bout at Madison Square Garden.

JaKarr Sampson tacked on 12 points before fouling out for St. John's (17-9, 7-6 Big East), which has won five straight.

D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera led Georgetown (15-10, 6-7) with 15 points. Markel Starks and Jabril Trawick each added 13 points. The Hoyas had a four-game losing streak snapped in the loss.

The Red Storm dominated in the first half, shooting 68 percent to Georgetown's 42.3. The superior shooting led to a 46-28 lead at intermission for the hosts.

St. John's cooled to 45.5 percent shooting after the break, but it hit on 14- of-18 from the free-throw line to easily hold on for the win.

The Hoyas finished with a 44.7 percent success rate from the floor. St. John's won the battle on the boards, 27-22.
