Byerly Woodword: Drought hurts us all, regardless of political affiliation

February 18, 2014

Regarding Gerald Haslam’s article, “What Obama should learn on his one-day Valley visit” (Feb. 14, Page B3): I think we in California are all in the drought together and that there is no conservative political solution to this problem of having a low rainfall for an extended period of time. We all have to compromise and save as much water as we can, whether we live in Los Angeles or Merced. President Obama and Gov. Brown should emphasize that we are all Californians and working together to make the best of this. As for me, I’m planting succulents and not washing my car!
