State retirees luncheon

State of California retiree’s luncheon and meeting will be at 11:30 a.m., March 5 at Carrow’s Restaurant, 720 Motel Drive. Learn the latest news on issues affecting retirees based on recent board of directors meetings. Lunch is free for first-time attending members.

Dreams Bridal Fair

Dreams Bridal Fair will be at noon Sunday at Merced Golf and Country Club. Meet with local reception experts and plan your special day.

Continuum of Care

The Merced County Continuum of Care will have a special meeting with public and private stakeholders from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday in the Sam Pipes Room at the Merced Civic Center, 678 W. 18th St. This meeting will focus on realigning the local continuum of care system with “Opening Doors,” the first federal strategic plan to prevent and end homelessness. Franklin-Beachwood MAC

Franklin-Beachwood Municipal Advisory Council meeting will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Franklin Elementary School, 2936 Franklin Road, Room 21.

Kindergarten Roundup

St. Paul Lutheran School invites families with children who will be entering kindergarten in the fall to attend a Kindergarten

Roundup and Information Night at 6 p.m. Thursday at the school, 2916 McKee Road. Parents will get information about the benefits of Core Knowledge and Core Virtues curriculum and see how iPads and SMART boards are integrated into the classroom. Children are encouraged to come. Performing ‘Aladdin Jr.’

Weaver Performing Arts production of Disney’s “Aladdin Jr.” will be at 1 and 7 p.m. Feb. 28 and March 1 at the Merced Theatre. Tickets are $8 and can be purchased at the theater box office, Farmdale School, Pioneer School or Weaver Middle School.
