Run Indian Gulch Saturday

The 38th Annual Indian Gulch 2-mile, 5-mile and 10-mile runs are set for Saturday. The Merced Running Club holds the runs. Proceeds benefit the UC Merced running program. Run the foothills surrounded by wildflowers and finish with a continental breakfast at the Golden Stag Hall in Hornitos. Check-in and race-day registration start at 7:15 to 8:15 a.m. All races start at 8:30 a.m. Pre-registration is $22, $20 club members and $25 for race-day registration. Volunteer with Habitat

Habitat for Humanity of Merced County will hold a volunteer orientation from 7 to 8 p.m. on March 10 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church Outreach Ministries Center, 2916 N. McKee Road. For more, call (209) 726-0850.

Bear Creek 4-H meeting

Bear Creek 4-H will hold an organizational meeting at 6 p.m. Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 2916 N. McKee Road. This is a new 4-H club for boys and girls. Call (209) 658-4441 for more.

Lucky Clover Trail Ride

The Don Pedro Rattlers 4-H Club will hold its second annual Lucky Clover Trail Ride and corned beef and cabbage dinner near Lake Don Pedro on March 16. The ride costs $25 per person and includes dinner, or dinners can be purchased alone for $10. Riders can participate in a trail ride poker run. Presale tickets are available. GIS summit at UC Merced

The fourth annual GeoSpatial Summit Conference, GIS: Integrating your Community, World, Life runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 14 at UC Merced. The event is free, but there is a $6 parking fee. Call (209) 385-6232 for more.

Merced Garden Club

The Merced Garden Club will meet at 1 p.m. on March 12 at the Fish and Game Building at Lake Yosemite. The topic will be vegetable and herb gardens. Guests are welcome. Call (209) 617-8119 for more.

Tack Bingo at arts center

The Merced Multicultural Arts Center will hold Tack Bingo on March 8 from 6 to 9 p.m. at 645 W. Main St. Unlimited games cost $10 or $5 for students. Proceeds go to the arts center. Call (209) 777-3863 for more.
