Tea Party meeting

The Merced-Atwater Tea Party will hold its regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall on Fifth Street and Broadway in Atwater. Meet the candidates for Merced County District 3 supervisor.

Parenting workshop

Join acclaimed expert Nicholeen Peck in a parenting workshop from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at the Building Young Leaders Center, 3337 M St. $65 per couple; walk-ins $80 per couple.

Lunch and Learn

The League of Women Voters of Merced County will have Lunch and Learn at noon March 31 at Five Ten Bistro, 510 W. Main St. The speaker will be a researcher from the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Cost is $15 and includes a buffet lunch, beverage, tax and gratuity. The Skimmers spring-summer signup will be 6 p.m. March 31 to April 4 at the Merced College pool. The Skimmers are open to year-round and seasonal swimmers of all ages. Swim meets usually last two to four hours. The group also offers youth water polo. For more information, go to mercedskimmers.com.
