Art demonstration

The Arbor Gallery and the Merced Multicultural Arts Center will hold a free Art Demonstration from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at 645 W. Coliseum, S.F. trips

2nd annual Friendship Day

Atwater Christian Tabernacle will host its second annual Friendship Day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at 1031 E. Bellevue Road. There will be free food, drinks, snow cones and a bounce house; basketball and volleyball games; and more. For more information, email

Skimmers sign-ups

The Skimmers will hold a 2014 Spring-Summer Sign-Up at 6 p.m. from Monday to April 4 at the Merced College pool. The Skimmers are open to year-round and seasonal swimmers of all ages and swim meets usually last two to four hours. They also offer youth water polo. For more information, go to

Inaugural 3K for camp

Peggy Heller Elementary School will hold its first 3K for Camp Fun Run at 8 a.m. April 5. Registration is at 7:30 a.m. The run is at the school, 201 Lakeview Drive, in Atwater. Fabric sale for church
