UC Merced Chess Club opponents seek the winning strategy

After a long day of hitting the books, members of the UC Merced Chess Club decided to take a break with a battle on the chess boards. Whether frustrated by their opponents or in control of them, players seems to enjoy the give and take of executing their strategies. Some were moved to laughter and others could only scratch their heads, but at least there was no academic stress. Of course, there might have been a little tension over the potential loss of a queen or king.Does Daniel DeFrisco, 21, have opponent Chamauri Flowers, 18, stumped?
