Community Health Fair

LIVINGSTON The Livingston Medical Group and Lions Club of Livingston will have their annual Community Health Fair from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot at 1140 Main St. Free blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, vision and dental screenings are scheduled. And prostate cancer screenings will be available for men 40 and older. There will be information by local organizations, activities for kids, music and food. May Day/Cinco De Mayo celebration

Celebrate Recovery will hold a May Day/Cinco De Mayo celebration from 10:30 a.m. to 2p.m. on May 4 at Yosemite Church, 2230 E. Yosemite Ave. Come for fun, food, live bands, raffles and a bounce house. Call (209) 383-5038, ext. 27 for details.

Schools stage ‘Charlie Brown’

Buhach Colony and Atwater high schools will present “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” at 7 p.m. May 8-10 at the Buhach Colony theater, 1800 Buhach Road. Tickets are $10. Group rates available. Email abettis@muhsd.org for details.

CASA fundraiser

CASA of Merced will hold its annual FUNraiser at 6 p.m. May 10 at the Merced County Fairgrounds Pavilion, 900 Martin Luther King Jr. Way. The event will feature dinner, music, live and silent auction. Tickets are $50 per person. CASA is a nonprofit organization that trains volunteers who provide support for abused and neglected children in Merced County. Call (209) 722-2272 for more information.

Planada Community Day

National Letter Carrier Food Drive

The National Letter Carrier Food Drive will be May 10. Put canned or dried foods by your mailbox by 9 a.m. Your letter carrier will pick up the donations and they will go to the local food bank.

Library book sale

ATWATER The Atwater Branch Library, 1600 3rd St., is having a book sale this month. Fill a grocery bag with hardback/paperback books and pay $3. The library is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
