Community Health Fair

The Livingston Medical Group and Lions Club of Livingston will have their annual Community Health Fair from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. today in the parking lot at 1140 Main St. Free blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, vision and dental screenings are scheduled. And prostate cancer screenings will be available for men 40 and older. There will be information by local organizations, activities for kids, music and food. Library book sale

The Atwater Branch Library, 1600 Third St., is having a book sale this month. Fill a grocery bag with hardback/paperback books and pay $3. The library is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Breakfast in Snelling

The monthly Snelling Breakfast will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. Sunday at the IOOF Hall. Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for children ages 3 to 12. Children younger than 3 are free. Breakfast is pancakes, biscuits and gravy, sausage, eggs cooked to order, coffee and juice. Proceeds benefit the Women’s Club and their projects.

Concerned Men cookoff

Multicultural Connections of Merced County will have its Concerned Men for Education cooking exotic dishes from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Merced Civic Center, 678 W. 18th St. Tickets are $25 for two people. Proceeds will benefit the advancement of educational activities for community youths. Dress attire is requested for the dinner. Call (209) 383-0115 for more information.

Le Grand Garden Club

The Le Grand Community Garden Club will present its annual spring event, “More Beauty, Less Bother” at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Chowchilla SFA Portuguese Hall, 800 S. Scholarships available

Veritas Parlor No. 75 of Merced, Native Daughters of the Golden West has scholarship forms available to members or relatives of a member of Veritas No. 75. Call Mary Jo Stavros at (209) 357-2021 for applications or information. The deadline is Wednesday.

Indoor soccer for kids

Indoor soccer for 3- to 6-year-olds will start June 7 and run through Aug. 2. Cost is $35 for registration and $10 for a game T-shirt. Register at Aguilera’s Satellites, 1033 W. Main St., or call (209) 385-6298 for more information.

Class of ’74 reunion
