Roundtable on Alzheimer’s

The Los Banos Alzheimer’s Support Group will meet at noon Wednesday at Country Waffle, 845 W. Pacheco Blvd. for a roundtable with former and current caregivers about the stages of the disease, followed by conclusions and resource information. Spring Concert

Atwater High School will have its Spring Concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Buhach Colony High School Theatre, 1800 N. Buhach Road.

Baha’i faith is topic

Merced United Unitarians will host Baha’i speakers at 4 p.m. Sunday at Unity Church, 305 W. 26th St. All religions are welcome. Go to www.uua.org for details.

Feral cat assistance

Last Hope Cat Kingdom is offering assistance to people who are responsibly caring for feral cats in Merced County. Help includes with trap, neuter/spay and release information, local spay-neuter services, trapping guidance and food donations. Call (209) 357-5425 or (209) 605-8460 for details.

New Beginnings needs volunteers

New Beginnings Merced is a nonprofit dedicated to saving shelter animals and finding them new homes. The group needs volunteers to care for kittens or dogs and their puppies for a short time, to photograph shelter animals and to transport them to rescue organizations (no personal vehicles needed). Donate eyeglasses or hearing aids

The Merced Breakfast Lions Club maintains a series of drop-off locations for used and unused prescription eyeglasses or hearing aids. They are at the offices of Drs. David Baba, Paul Smith and Jeffrey Lee; Save Mart at Olive and G streets; optical department at Costco. Free legal services for seniors

Central California Legal Services Inc. and Merced County provide free legal services to seniors. Clients must live in Merced County, be 60 or older and a U.S. citizen. Appointments are available in Dos Palos, Livingston, Los Banos, Atwater and Merced. Call (209) 385-7550.

Flag disposal at VFW

The Atwater Veterans of Foreign Wars post accepts soiled or tattered flags for proper disposal at 1390 Broadway. The VFW also provides free wheelchairs and walkers to veterans who need them. The group holds Hamburger Night from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays. Call (209) 358-7224 for information.
