Church to mark 8 years

Veterans Craft Fair coming

American Legion Post 83 will host its annual Spring/Summer Veterans Craft Fair from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 31 in downtown Merced. Booths are available for $45 each, and proceeds will benefit local veterans’ needs and the preservation of the historic Veterans Memorial Building. For more information, email jackperry@alr83.org.

Auditions to be held

Merced ShakespeareFest will hold auditions for its 13th season’s summer play, “Cymbeline,” at noon June 7 at Playhouse Merced, 452 W. Main St. More than 15 performers are needed, also musicians. ‘Big Red One’ to reunite

The Famous “Big Red One” will hold its 96th annual reunion June 25-29 at the Hyatt Regency in Orange County. Veterans of the Army’s renowned 1st Infantry Division, the Army’s oldest and most famous division, served in World War I, World War II, Vietnam and the Persian Gulf War as well as in Germany and the U.S. during the Cold War.
