Live music will be featured from 9 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday at the Star Club, 1331 W. Main St., downtown Merced. Ages 21 and older only, no cover.

‘Noises Off’ at Playhouse Merced

Playhouse Merced presents the Michael Frayn comedy “Noises Off” through Sunday. The director is Dusty Guthier. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. Documentary screening

The documentary film “The House I Live In,” which questions the war on drugs, is scheduled to screen from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Merced Multicultural Arts Center, 645 W. Main St. The film will be followed by a discussion. The event is sponsored by UC Merced’s Center for Humanities and UC Merced’s Library.

Open Mike Night at Coffee Bandits

Whether you play a mean solo on the bassoon or perform Madagascan spoken word, Coffee Bandit’s open mike night is your place to be heard. Open mike happens at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the cafe, 309 W. Main St. in downtown Merced. For more information visit the event’s Facebook page.

Exotica Thursdays

at Club Bahia

Exotica Thursdays is an LGBT club party with DJs mixing dance beats, 8 p.m. every Thursday at Club Bahia. A drag show is held every first Thursday of the month. Club Bahia is at 224 W. Main St. For more information, call (209) 617-3452.

Bonnie and the Bang Bang

Bonnie and the Bang Bang are scheduled to perform at The Partisan with The Record Winter at 8:30 p.m. June 20. Admission is $5. The Partisan is at 432 W. Main St. in downtown Merced.

Comedy Jam

at the Merced Theatre

The Comedy Jam featuring comedians Loni Love, Jill-Michele Melean and Edwin San Juan is scheduled for 8 p.m. June 27 at the Merced Theatre, 301 W. Main St. in Merced. Tickets are $20 to $25. For tickets and information, visit tickets.mercedtheatre.org.

Foreverland

at the Merced Theatre

Foreverland, a 14-piece tribute band dedicated to the music of Michael Jackson, is scheduled to perform at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 19 at the Merced Theatre, 301 W. Main St. Tickets go on sale July 1. For more information, visit tickets.mercedtheatre.org.
