Blackbeard's celebrates 30 years in business in Fresno

Blackbeard's Family Entertainment Center will celebrate 30 years of business with a celebration event Sunday, including park specials, giveaways, a concert and other attractions.

Blackbeard's opened in 1984 and has since employed about 6,000 Valley youth. The business grown to include the Port Royal performance stage, live pirate shows, three award-winning miniature golf courses, bumper boats, two go-kart tracks, a ropes course, roller coaster and amusement rides, arcades and water slides.

The celebration will begin at 10 a.m. and will include free face painting, pirate shows and a balloon artist. The business will also give a bonus clue for its popular county-wide treasure hunt with $30,000 in buried treasure.
