POLICE REPORTS

From June 15-21, the Chowchilla Police Department responded to 438 calls. There were 301 calls for service and 137 self-initiated calls. Sixty-eight reports were taken in the seven-day period. There were seven misdemeanor arrests and eight felony arrests made during the week ending June 21. Following is a sample of the calls police responded to.

SUNDAY

A found property report was taken in the 600 block of Sonoma Avenue.

A burglary was reported in the 600 block of South Seventh Street.

Two female adults were arrested and transported to the Madera County Jail for domestic violence on each other.

A male adult was arrested on an outstanding warrant in the 1500 block of Robertson Boulevard.

MONDAY

Police responded to a violation of a court order in the 500 block of Trinity Avenue

A petty theft was reported in the 1500 block of Harding.

Vandalism was reported to a car in the 100 block of Birch Court

A found property report was taken in the 300 block of North 15th Street.

A male adult was arrested and transported to the Madera County Jail for being under the influence of narcotics and trespassing in the 400 block of South First Street.

A resident reported a dog bite in the 700 block of Sonoma Avenue.

An outside assist report was taken on Highway 152 and Highway 99.

A violation of a restraining order was reported in the 500 block of Trinity Avenue.

TUESDAY

Police received a call regarding a dog running at large in the 600 block of South Sixth Street and in the 1000 block of Monterey.

A burglary was reported in the 500 block of Riverside Avenue.

A found property was taken at the police department.

Vandalism was reported in the 2100 block of Madison Court.

An attempted burglary occurred in the 600 block of Humboldt Avenue.

A petty theft was reported in the 500 block of West Robertson Boulevard.

A vehicle incident report was taken at the police department.

A warrant arrest was made in the 1500 block of Coolidge Avenue. The subject was transported to the Madera County Jail.

WEDNESDAY

A subject was arrested, cited and released for driving without a valid driver’s license in the 100 block of North 13th Street.

A subject was arrested for possession of a controlled substance in the 100 block North 13th Street.

A theft was reported in the 600 block of North 11th Street.

A male adult was arrested and released for an outstanding warrant in the 100 block of North First Street.

THURSDAY

Vandalism was reported in the 100 block of North Second Street.

A grand theft report was taken in the 100 block of South Ninth Street.

A subject was arrested and booked into the Madera County Jail on a felony warrant in the 400 block of Trinity Avenue.

A vehicle was towed for expired registration in the 800 block of Lake Avenue.

An animal control report was taken in the 100 block of North Sixth Street.

A theft was reported in the 300 block of Trinity Avenue.

A juvenile was arrested and booked in the Madera County Juvenile Hall for vandalism in the 600 block of Alameda Avenue.

FRIDAY

A dog was placed in the shelter from the 1500 block of Chidlaw Way.

A subject reported a stolen car in the 100 block of Howell Road.

A theft was reported in the 500 block of Calaveras.

A theft was reported in the 2200 block of South Lake Tahoe.

A theft was reported in the 1200 block of Airport Drive.

Vandalism was reported in the 500 block of Kings Avenue.

A subject was arrested, cited and released on a misdemeanor warrant in the 500block of Riverside Avenue.

A found property report was taken on Adams Drive

Vandalism was reported in the 100 block of Trinity Avenue.

A subject was arrested for driving under the influence and for a hit and run collision in the 7000 block of Edgewater.

SATURDAY

A burglary was reported in the 200 block of North Sixth Street.

Vandalism was reported at the Police Department.

A domestic violence report was taken in the 200 block of North Washington Road.

A general incident report was taken on Road 16.

A subject was arrested and transported to the Madera County Jail for possession of stolen property in the 400 block of South Second Street.

Police responded to a violation of a court order in the 700 block of Alameda Avenue.

A petty theft report was taken in the 1100 block of Orange Avenue.

The Chowchilla Police Department was called to assist another agency in the area of Road 19 and Avenue. 26.

A domestic violence report was taken in the 200 block of Washington Road; a male adult was arrested and transported to the Madera County Jail.

A subject was arrested for burglary in the 100 block of Trinity Avenue; the subject was transported to the Madera County Jail.
