Modesto's Pelandale interchange work keeps drivers on toes

Bee Staff ReportsJuly 3, 2014

Traffic controls continue for the Pelandale Avenue interchange reconstruction project at Highway 99. Motorists are advised that the construction includes driving piles for the new bridge, producing noise and ground vibration. That activity will continue through July 11. The following traffic controls are in place:

• Eastbound traffic on Pelandale from Salida Boulevard to Sisk Road has one through lane with a left turn lane at the northbound Highway 99 onramp and the Sisk Road intersection.

• Westbound Pelandale’s center through lane is closed, so traffic must merge left to access the left-turn lane or merge right to access one through/right-turn lane. The configurations will remain in place for several months. Motorists can expect lengthy delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible.

More information on the interchange project is available at www.sr99pelandale.org.
