Ask Sacto 911 crime Q&A: What happened to woman accused of man’s shooting death in Foothill Farms?

clocke@sacbee.comJuly 3, 2014

Any update to the fatal 2012 Foothill Farms shooting? The suspect’s name was Tiffany Henry, I believe.

– Anonymous916, Sacramento

Tiffany Renee Henry was arrested in the shooting death of 21-year-old Titus Eugene Tufts on Jan. 13, 2011.

According to stories in The Bee, Henry and Tufts had become embroiled in a argument at a liquor store earlier in the day, and Henry then shot Tufts later in her apartment complex in the 5100 block of Andrea Boulevard, near Elkhorn Boulevard.

In June 2012, a Sacramento Superior Court judge found that Henry was incompetent to stand trial. She was ordered to be evaluated at Napa State Hospital and returned to court if she recovered her ability to assist in her own defense.

According to online court records, Henry returned from the state hospital and criminal proceedings were reinstated in April 2013. She pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter and was sentenced in December 2013 to seven years in state prison.

Now 47 years old, Henry is incarcerated at the California Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison, Corcoran.
