The Fresno BeeJuly 12, 2014

Officers from various community groups within the Fresno Police Department traveled to Mission San Juan Bautista on Friday with 40 children as part of a campaign to foster positive relationships between children and law enforcement.

The campaign is also designed to use police officers as positive role models for kids. The children are members of the Youth Leadership Council, which is made up of teenagers engaged in community service and volunteer projects throughout Fresno.
