Free soccer clinic for Madera children nearing

Madera County Soccer Fest 2014 will offer free soccer clinics to Madera County children July 29-31. The clinics are for boy and girls ages 6 to 19. Participants will receive professional instruction from the youth development coaches of Chivas USA and Fresno Fuego.

More than 2,000 kids will have the chance to participate free of charge in the event. Clinics will be held at Liberty High School in Madera Ranchos with sessions for kids ages 6 to 9 starting at 8 a.m. and lasting to 10 a.m., a session for kids ages 10 to 13 from 4 to 6 p.m. and a session for kids ages 14 to 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. The event will move to Madera Union High School’s Memorial Stadium on July 30, with the same schedule, and will include an additional lunch question and answer session conducted by Chivas USA for local coaches. Memorial Stadium has also been reserved for July 31 to ensure that participation numbers are met accordingly.

Registration for the event is underway and space is limited. Parents may register their children online through the City of Madera Parks and Community Services website at http://tinyurl.com/p9qj4ov. Registration is also available at the following locations:
