Ex-school official jailed in embezzlement case
FRESNO -- A former business manager who has admitted stealing $422,000 from a tiny southwest Fresno school district was taken to jail Wednesday after a judge ordered him to undergo a mental evaluation.
A bailiff handcuffed Leonard Robinson in Fresno County Superior Court on orders from Judge Jonathan Conklin. Within the next three months, Robinson will be transferred to a state prison to undergo the examination.
