SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Seven suspected gang members are facing charges in connection with an attempted kidnapping and assault last month at a Northern California casino.
El Dorado County Sheriff's Department Lt. Bryan Golmitz says SWAT teams from the El Dorado, Sacramento and Stanislaus county sheriff's departments and the Folsom Police Department arrested the suspects in a series of raids Friday.
The arrests come after a group of people confronted two men and a woman at the Red Hawk Casino in Placerville on Oct. 14.
Authorities say one of the men was hit with a beer bottle during the confrontation, while the woman was forced through the casino and into the parking garage.
The suspects were being held on a series of charges including assault with a deadly weapon and false imprisonment with violence.
