The couple, who had been camping in Yosemite, traveled to Mariposa to seek refuge from the weekend crowds and said they were thrilled to stumble upon the small-town celebration of a local hero. The late "Cousin Jack" Franklin, a long time steward of the arts and music in Mariposa, was also instrumental in getting the Art Park built. June 20th, 2009
