The Merced Children's Choir is offering several scholarships to young singers, 7 to 12, who wish to participate in the ensemble's eighth semester. Merced hostel tour
The Merced Hostel Society will host an overnight at the historical Victorian Mansion in Sacramento on Saturday. It will include a walking tour of Old Sacramento, a Paddlewheeler sightseeing cruise, the Railroad Museum, the Gold Rush History Center, the Governor's Mansion, the State Indian Museum, the Leland Stanford Mansion and a possible Sutter Gold Mine tour. Roast beef dinners
The Coulterville Community United Methodist Church is back with those magnificent roast beef dinners. This month's dinner will be Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. The meal will feature roast beef with all the fixings, assorted beverages and homemade desserts.
Suggested donations are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger or a family packet for $25 for two adults and two children.
The church is located on Highway 49 just across the street from the Coulterville Park. Takeout orders are available.
