ATWATER -- A 29-year-old Delhi man was arrested Friday morning at the Atwater Target store, the Merced County Sheriff's Department reported.
It was a prison sentence 13 years in the making.

On a normal day, it's just Vivienne Brunigis and Danny Fluke holding down the fort at Northside Clinic in Greeley Hill, 30 miles north of Mariposa.
The Dynamic Duo.On Wednesday, Brunigis, the nurse practitioner, and Fluke, licensed vocational nurse, were joined by some 40 medical professionals throughout the San Joaquin Valley. By television, that is.Some 1,300 new freshmen plan to enroll at UC Merced next fall, the University of California Office of the President confirmed Tuesday.
The Merced campus received 1,358 statements of intent to register -- non-binding forms which incoming students must return to the university they expect to attend -- from prospective students this year. That's a 27 percent increase from the 1,069 forms returned last spring. "This is extremely encouraging news and further evidence of UC Merced's growing stature and visibility throughout California," Chancellor Steve Kang wrote in a memo to students at the close of this academic year.
