Kiwanis Club egg hunt

The Kiwanis Club of Greater Merced invites all children 10 and under to its 20th annual Easter Egg Hunt starting at 10 a.m. today at Applegate Park. The Easter Bunny will hide thousands of brightly colored eggs filled with candy or receipts for special prizes provided by community sponsors.

The Kiddieland amusement rides will also be open at 10:30 a.m. For more information, call (209) 761-7883.

Organic method eyed

All organic almond farmers as well as those almond farmers interested in sustainable farming methods are welcome at the next Organic Almond Farming Workshop at 8:30 a.m. Thursday. It will be held at Pioneer Hall, 11695 Olive Ave., and a free lunch will be sponsored by Big Tree Organic Farms following the field demonstrations at Nakashima Farms, 10397 W. Walnut Ave.
