SNELLING The monthly Snelling Breakfast will be served from 7 to 11 a.m. Sunday at the IOOF Hall. The meal includes pancakes, biscuits and gravy, sausage, eggs cooked to order, orange juice and coffee. The cost is $5 per adult and $3 per child.

Castle Air Museum will host its annual POW/MIA Recognition Day at 1 p.m. Friday at the museum. The service will be put on by the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a reception will follow in the banquet room.

Fremont Hospital Foundation presents the seventh annual Blazin’ Hog Bar-B-Que Competition and Zydeco Music Festival from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Mariposa Fairgrounds at Fairgrounds Drive and Highway 49 South. Individuals, groups and clubs are welcome to compete. The first-place prize is $500; second-place, $250; third-place, $100; and People’s Choice award, $100. Fundraiser Dinner for Ondrea Edwards
Ondrea Edwards, the 23-year-old daughter of Tai Anne Elam and Troy Edwards, is hosting a fundraiser dinner for her run for Miss Rodeo California 2014 at 2 p.m. Saturday at 923 S. Orchard Way.
