New Beginnings Merced seeking volunteers
New Beginnings Merced, a local nonprofit dedicated to saving shelter animals and finding them new homes, needs volunteers. Especially needed are people who can provide foster homes for kittens, or help with mother dogs and puppies. SCORE is the acronym for the Service Corps of Retired Executives, counselors to America’s small business. They bring resources to a brand-new or seasoned business on how to succeed. JMJ Maternity Homes, a faith-based 501(c)3 group, provides homeless pregnant women with shelter, resources and support services in a nurturing Christian environment. Fall Tea & Bazaar
The Native Daughters of the Golden West will hold the annual Fall Tea & Bazaar from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 2 at the United Methodist Church, 899 Yosemite Park Way.
