Atwater Christmas parade entry deadline near
ATWATER The Atwater Christmas Parade of Lights will be held at 7 p.m. Dec. 6. The entry deadline is Friday. Those interested in entering should contact the Atwater Chamber of Commerce at (209)358-3088 during business hours or (209)385-2376 after hours.
Atwater VFW Ladies Auxiliary monthly breakfast
ATWATER The VFW Ladies Auxiliary will host its monthly breakfast from 8-11 a.m. Dec. 1 at the Memorial Building, 1390 Broadway. The menu includes omelets, waffles with strawberries and cream, biscuits with sausage gravy, eggs cooked to order, bacon or sausage, and hash browns. Juice and coffee is served with all meals. $4 to $6 donation. Proceeds help serve veterans programs.
United Methodist Women’s Bazaar tickets on sale
Luncheon tickets are available for the United Methodist Women’s 83rd Annual Christmas Bazaar to be held on Dec. 7 at 899 Yosemite Parkway. For tickets and information, call (209)617-8119.
Friends of the Library Christmas sale
Friends of the Library will hold its annual Christmas sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 7, on the main floor of the Merced County Library, 2100 O St. Holiday gifts including books and CDs will be for sale. The store will be closed Dec. 23 through Jan. 5 to allow our volunteers family time.
Thanksgiving luncheon Tuesday at Merced church
A community Thanksgiving luncheon is set for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Bethesda Apostolic Faith Church, 1822 Canal St., Merced. For information and questions, please call (209)726-0533.
Blood drive set
Yosemite Church will host a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 1. at 2230 E. Yosemite Ave. in Merced. A BloodSource bloodmobile will be on site. Donors should eat a good meal and drink plenty of fluids prior to their donation. Donors must be 17 years old (16 with signed parental consent). Bring donor card or any photo I.D.
