Alcohol-drug board

The Merced County advisory board on alcohol and other drug problems will meet at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 17 at the county’s mental health administration building, 1137 B St., Merced.

Retired women luncheon

The Retired Women of Merced College will have a Christmas luncheon at DeAngelo’s, 11:30 a.m. Dec. 12. If you aren’t retired but interested in joining, call Jackie at (209) 358-5376. Everyone is requested to RSVP as soon as possible.

‘The Gift of Jesus’

The Calvary Temple Christmas program, “The Gift of Jesus,” will be conducted at 10a.m. Dec. 22. Admission is free. The program will take place at the church, 2740 N. Highway 59, Merced.

Sierra Club potluck

SPCA Holiday Home Tour

Four decorated homes and the Vista Ranch and Cellars will will open their doors the Merced SPCA’s annual Holiday Home Tour from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. A lunch, gift baskets and tickets for a raffle – with prizes including a bicycle, diamond necklace and an original watercolor painting – will be available for purchase at the Vista Ranch. Tickets cost $15 and can be obtained at Maciel & Co. in the Merced Mall, on Olive Avenue between M and R streets; Christina’s Fine Clothing in the Galleria shopping center at 2852 G St.; Wash ‘N’ Wag at 2521 N Santa Fe Ave.; Rabobank at 2000 M St.; A Blooming Affair Floral at 463 W.
