Atwater High’s Falcon band is performing a Christmas concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Buhach Colony High School theatre. The band will be performing holiday pieces and the public is invited to come and listen. The Band Booster Club will be selling tickets for a 50/50 raffle.
Park ranger to speak with group
Join the League of Women Voters of Merced County at noon Friday at Five Ten Bistro, 510 W. Main St., as we chat with our special guest, park ranger Madeline Yancey, from the Merced and San Luis National Wildlife refuges. She will share with us the mission of Merced County’s NWRs, as well as the effects that climate change and water wars have had on these precious protected lands. The Native Daughters of the Golden West, Veritas No. 75 of Merced will hold their Christmas luncheon from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 17. It will be held at Bella Luna Café at 350 W Main St. All members are invited to attend and they may bring a guest. A gift exchange of $10 is optional. Sierra Club potluck
The Merced Sierra Club’s annual potluck will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Hoffmeister Center, 1920 Canal St., Merced. Awards will be presented at the fundraising event. There is parking at the rear entrance on 19th Street. Call (209) 723-4747 for details.
Bible study group

BloodSource seeking donations
BloodSource is getting ready for its Season of Giving at 382 E. Yosemite Ave, in Merced through Dec. 15. They will be accepting nonperishable food donations and will mirror their donors’ generosity with a Pay it Forward donation to the Merced County Food Bank.
Christmas Cantata in Livingston
The Livingston United Methodist Church will have its Christmas Cantata 10:30 a.m. Sunday in the sanctuary at 11695 Olive Ave. Free and open to the public.
Merced neuropathy support group
The Merced Peripheral Neuropathy Support Group will meet from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hoffmeiser Center, 1920 Canal St., Merced. If your toes, fingers and-or feet and hands tingle or feel numb, you might have peripheral neuropathy. An open forum discussion will be held, with informational handouts available.
