Needlecraft, sewing class
CHOWCHILLA The Merced College Continuing Education Program is offering needlecraft and sewing as a noncredit course to adults 18 and older. No registration or enrollment fees, but students must provide their own fabrics and supplies. Instruction is provided in knitting, crocheting, quilting, stitchery and sewing. Each student will select a specific area of interest and complete at least one project. Yosemite will waive entrance fees from Feb. 15-17 to commemorate President’s Day. Camping, lodging or activities are not waived.
Presenting “Aladdin Jr.”
Weaver Performing Arts’ will present Disney’s “Aladdin Jr.” will be held at 1 and 7 p.m. Feb. 28 and March 1 at the Merced Theatre. Tickets are $8. Buy them at the Merced Theatre box office, Farmdale School, Pioneer School or Weaver Middle School.
North Merced crab feed
The North Merced crab feed will be 7 p.m. Feb. 22 at the Merced County Fairgrounds Pavilion. Doors will open at 6. All-you-can-eat crab, salad, hot bread and homemade pasta. There will be a no-host bar. Funds support scholarships and youth activities.
“Winter Nights Yeow”
“Winter Nights Yeow,” a multi-band music and comedy show, will be at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 22 at the Fallon Theatre in Columbia. Curtain time is 8.
