Atwater High reunion

Scholarship applications

Bloss Scholarship applications are available to seniors and graduates of the Merced Union High School District who plan to attend an accredited California college or vocational school. Applicants must have graduated from the MUHSD in June 1973 or thereafter. Applications are available at the high schools or at Click on “Departments,” then “College and Scholarship.” Completed applications and official transcripts are due by March 18. Business workshop is on exporting

“Exporting 101 Training for Small Business” workshop will be March 18, 1:30-4:30 p.m. at the Merced College Business Resource Center, 3600 M St. Free parking in the garage next to the Resource Center. Businesses are invited to learn how to start or expand their exporting efforts. This free workshop will teach businesses about the federal and local programs that provide financing, technical assistance and marketing support for exporting.

Trip to flower show

The Le Grand Community Garden Club will take a bus trip to the San Francisco Flower and Garden Show on March 19. Cost is $40, which includes coffee, snacks, bus ride and a ticket to the show. Call Sandy Del Real at (209) 389-4576 or email to reserve a seat.

Polenta and chicken

The Italian Catholic Federation will have a polenta and chicken dinner March 19, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Italo American Lodge, 18th and U streets. Tickets are $15 for adults and $7.50 for children younger than 12. Tickets may be used for take-out dinners at the kitchen door.
