You’re Never Too Young is the theme for the Keen-Agers Luncheon, at noon March 19 at the Atwater Baptist Church, 2124 1st St. The speakers will be Chaplain Steve Heath and Shirley Johnson. This event is free and open to everyone. Feel free to bring a favorite lunch item to share.

Concert at Unity of Merced

Unity of Merced will have a Transformational Music Concert and Chanting at 7 p.m. March 21 at 305 W. 26th St., with Anton Mizerak and Laura Berryhill. A $10 donation is requested. For more information, go to unitymerced@hushmail.com.

Reading tutors needed

Volunteer tutors are needed at the Merced Library for the Read and Succeed adult literacy program. There will be an orientation from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on March 25 at the library, 2100 O St., and a training session from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. March 29 at the library. Camera club

Stroke Support Group

The Stroke Support Group is open to anyone who has survived a stroke. Family, friends and caregivers are welcome. The group meets from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of every month at Mercy Medical Pavilion, third floor, classroom A, 315 Mercy Ave. No cost, no registration. Cellphones for seniors

The Merced County Area Agency on Aging is asking unneeded cell phones for distribution to Merced County seniors, 60 and older. Seniors will be able to call 911 for emergency assistance only. Each phone should have a charging unit and a battery that will hold a charge. Call (209) 385-7550.

Toastmasters on Fridays
