Learning dances from around the world

The Merced County Arts Council offers World Dance classes from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays, according to the Arts Council’s website. Suggested donations are $40 for six weeks or $7 per class; two for one (bring family or friend). Youth and children (with an adult) are free. The class teaches basic line, circle and couple dances from around the world. Dances progress from beginner to intermediate level dances. No dance partner necessary.
