The annual Bobcat Art Show is on display through May 7. The show features works submitted by UC Merced students, faculty and staff. There are 52 entries covering a variety of media including painting, drawing, photography, digital media, sculpture and mixed media. The exhibit is being held simultaneously in the UC Merced Art Gallery in Room 106 of the Social Sciences and Management Building, and on the second floor of the Kolligian Library.

The Merced Flea and Farmers Market runs every Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. behind the fairgrounds, 900 G St. EBT is accepted.

Sound Remedy performs from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Star Club, 1331 W. Main St., Merced, There is no cover charge. Show is for those 21 and older.

Robert Irvine performs at 8 p.m. at the Gallo Center for the Arts, 1000 I St., Modesto. For more information: www.galloarts.org.

Sunday

Valley Farmers Market is open every Sunday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 2877 Atwater Blvd., Atwater. There are lots of vendors on site and EBT is accepted.

Monday

Buhach Farmers Market is open every Monday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 4814 Clover Ave., Atwater. Take the Buhach Exit off Highway 99. Lots of vendors on site.

Tuesday

Le Grand Certified Farmers Market runs from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays on Washington Street and Le Grand Road, next to Pizza Factory.

Wednesday

Merced County Certified Farmers Market is open from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesdays at the Promenade Shopping Center on the corner of Yosemite and Paulson avenues, Merced.

Buhach Farmers Market is open from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays at 4814 Clover Ave., Atwater.. Lots of vendors on site.

At R-Bar , 1603 V St., Merced hosts 8-ball competition every Wednesday night. Sign-ups at 6 p.m., with game starting at 7. Twenty players only, $5 buy-in.

Jam session from 9 p.m.-1:30 a.m. at Star Club, 1331 W. Main St., Merced. There is no cover charge. Open to those 21 and older.

Friday

“The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas” is on stage on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through May 18 at Playhouse Merced, 452 W. Main St. For more information: www.playhousemerced.com.

Flashback performs from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Star Club, 1331 W. Main St., Merced. There is no cover charge. Open to anyone 21 and older.

The Townsend Opera performance of “Tawawa House” is at 7:30 p.m. at the Gallo Center for the Arts, 1000 I St., Modesto. For more information: www.galloarts.org.

Johnny Rocket and the Thrust perform from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the Merced Multicultural Arts Center, 645 W. Main St. Tickets are $12 for members or in advance, and $15 at the door. For more information: www.artsmerced.org.
