LIVINGSTON -- Four people were arrested on methamphetamine and child endangerment-related charges Tuesday, after agents from the Merced Multi-Agency Narcotics Task Force served a search warrant on the 800 block of Olds Avenue.
Agents arrested suspects Fernando Lopez, 26, Maria Sanchez, 25, Felipa Soto, 46, and Maria Lopez, 20, after serving the warrant around 9:30 a.m., according to agent Paul Llanez of the task force.
Llanez said a handgun, two pounds of methamphetamine, $4,000 cash, scales, equipment and packaging materials were found inside the house. He said the meth had a street value of just under $50,000.
In addition, five children, ranging in age from 3 to 14 years old, were living inside the house, Llanez said. The suspects had kept the gun under the same bed where the children kept their shoes, Llanez said.

All four suspects were booked on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine for sales, maintaining a residence where drugs are used or sold and five counts of child endangerment.
