Merced candidate Gallardo still in City Council race

Alex Gallardo Jr., 37, has largely stayed out of the public eye, though he filed papers to run for Merced City Council. He didn’t participate in some prominent debates such as the League of Women Voters forum on Oct. 3. He has since reappeared and said he wants to be on the Merced City Council.
