The Merced College Journalism Club and The Blue Devil Report presents The Gospel Experience as part of “Merced College Celebrates: African American History Month” from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Merced College Theatre. The keynote speaker is pastor Ronald Dunham Sr. of Second Baptist Church. The Second Baptist Gospel Ensemble will perform. Doors open at 2 p.m. Admission is free.

Flapjack Fundraiser to benefit Habitat

Le Grand church to have barbecue at school
The 68th annual deep-pit barbecue prepared by the men of Le Grand Methodist Church will be 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. March 14 in the all-purpose room of Le Grand Elementary School, 13071 Le Grand Road in Le Grand. The meal includes deep-pit barbecued beef, beans, salad, roll, butter, dessert and drink. Cost is $12.50 for adults, $6 for children 6 to 12, and free for children 5 and younger.
