Merced County Republican Women Federated will meet on Feb. 19 at the Branding Iron Restaurant, 640 W. 16th St. The speaker will be Mark Meuser, Republican candidate for Secretary of State. Chicken and Waffle Breakfast
The annual “Chicken and Waffle Breakfast” is scheduled from 9 to 11 a.m. Feb. 24 at Bethesda Apostolic Faith Church, 1822 Canal St., Merced. The menu includes fried chicken wings, waffles, eggs, juice or coffee. Donation is $12 each, dine-in and take-out is available. The Merced Community College Chorus is seeking singers. The group gathers at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesdays at Lesher Hall on the Merced College campus in Merced. Director Phillip Smallwood is preparing for the group’s spring concert which is set for May.
Old Timers Association
The Merced County Old Timers Association is accepting applications to honor members of our communities who are 85 years of age or older and have lived in Merced County for at least 50 years. A luncheon will be served at noon on April 15 at the Italo-American Lodge in Merced. All applications need to be returned by March 25.
