Look Good Feel Better is a free two-hour workshop for female cancer patients experiencing appearance-related side effects from their treatment, held the second Monday of every month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mercy UC Davis Cancer Center, 3850 G St. in Merced. Chowchilla’s Sizzlin’ Summer Nights Music in the Park Concerts opens the 2016 season with singer-songwriter Brandon Pasion and his band. Run in Atwater
The Run for Independence starts at 7:30 a.m. July 4 at Ralston Park in Atwater. Race distances are 2 or 5 miles. Walkers are welcome in the 2-mile race.
