Look Good Feel Better is a free two-hour workshop for women who are cancer patients experiencing appearance-related side effects from their treatment. California State University, Stanislaus, is offering two summer camps, one for algebra and one for geometry, 9 a.m. to noon July 18 and 22 and July 25 and 29 at the 1 University Circle campus in Turlock. The Merced County Regional Waste Management Authority Authority is hosting a Household Hazardous Waste event 8 a.m. to noon on July 16 at the Highway 59 Landfill, 7040 N. Highway 59, for residents and Conditionally Exempt Small-Quantity Generators. The waste includes any leftover household product that contains ingredients that are “corrosive, reactive, ignitable, flammable and/or toxic.” Before bringing items to the facility, call 916-296-7478 to identify the amount and type allowed.
