I can’t believe Christmas has come and gone. Did it seem like it flew by for anyone else?
Every year I tell myself that I am going to savor the moment and really take it all in. Well, as much as I would like to say that I did that, I still feel like I missed it.
Thankfully, I still get to spend time with family and friends before the new year, so that will help ease the blow of the holidays being over. Although Christmas is not about gifts for me, it is always nice to give them. I was sure to buy as many clothes and accessories I could find for my friends and family.
One of my favorite fashion trends right now is blanket scarves.
I feel like you can’t go wrong with a blanket scarf. It is pretty much like wearing a blanket around your neck.
I was lucky enough to be sent a blanket scarf by Quinn NYC a while back, and it has been saving my neck this season. I wear it way too much, but it is the perfect combination, whether you are dressing up or dressing down.
I decided to wear my maroon blanket scarf out and about a few weeks ago. Of course, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to take a few photos for the blog.
I paired this maroon scarf with my favorite gray Michael Kors jacket. I couldn’t forget these distressed MissMe jeans and these awesome booties from TJMaxx.
You know I always love a good deal, and these Jessica Simpson booties were a steal from TJMaxx. I love how the maroon really pops with the beautiful autumn trees in the background. This season is always my favorite because of the gorgeous colors. Well, that and because I get to bundle up and wear tons of layers.
I have been planning all my outfits around wearing scarves this winter. The weather is cold, and I love every second of it. There are a million ways to wear scarves, and they have a way of adding some extra flair to every outfit. I wear them to work, out on the town or for an afternoon of shopping.
Speaking of an afternoon of shopping, today I’m headed to check out Helen & Louise’s biggest sale of the year. Over the years, I have found quite the variety of clothes from there and always make it a point to shop their biggest sale. I have my eye on a new pair of Hudson jeans, so fingers crossed I find them. I’m also looking for a killer outfit for New Year’s Eve.
I have yet to plan what I’m wearing, but I’m thinking a little black dress or some black leggings with a sparkly blouse. Either way, it will be a good night.
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas filled with friends and family, laughter and love. Be sure to have fun this New Year’s Eve, and start planning your fabulous outfit now. Happy Saturday!
