“This year's goal is to raise $10,000 to purchase all of the toys that will be given on Dec. 21,” said Livingston Police Chief Bill Eldridge.
John Mucci, who coordinates the program, expects to receive more than 800 requests for toys from throughout Livingston.
“This is the most important special event sponsored by the department,”Mucci said.
Eldridge asked the community to help by donating new toys or cash to the police department.
Cash donations will be accepted by either check or cash at the front window of the department.
